I'm a 40 something mom of 3, married for "almost 20 years" (which I recently realized means I'm "almost old", because in my mind someone who has been married 20+ years is "old.") to a very patient, loving, and gorgeous man (T.) that I met in college. I've been a full-time stay at home mom since I got pregnant with our 3rd child (H.) and started homeschooling when our oldest, (N.), was half-way through his Kindergarten year.
We are a homeschooling family. I've come to understand homeschooling is not something we "do", but something we "are." It's a way of life. There are times that we "do school", in our school room, following our lesson plans, picking 4 out of the 6 subjects that we going to study for that day, that's us "doing school." But it's so much more! It's what we do in our "everyday talk" and our everyday walk.
I'm a Christian woman who in the last 10 years has decided that being a Christian is THE most important part of who I am and should be a part of everything else I am and do. It's a process, never ending, sometimes difficult, but one that is ultimately satisfying and oh so worth it.
For fun I like to read (non-fiction), mess around with photography, scrapbook, and try to make our home a haven. I am an "information junkie", so I'm obsessed with finding out as much as I can about everything that interests me. As a family we like playing games together, being outside in God's Great Creation, and traveling.
So that's me in kind of a big nutshell ;)
